The Brief

At TechBBQ 2025 in Copenhagen — Scandinavia’s largest tech and startup summit — founders and scaleups face the same challenge: how to stand out among hundreds of exhibitors while still making their tech accessible, relatable, and memorable.

WeSmile was invited to design an activation that would:

• Help startups showcase their technology in human terms.
• Spark conversations with investors, partners, and talent.
• Leave attendees with a personal artifact they could share online — keeping the brand top of mind.

Goals

• Convert booth visitors into meaningful conversations and follow-ups.
• Provide startups with eye-catching engagement without big-agency budgets.
• Demonstrate tech products as part of everyday life, not just demos behind a screen.

The WeSmile Experience

WeSmile built a modular AI Photobooth tailored for the startup ecosystem:

• Visitors could step in and be transformed into a role that reflected the startup’s technology — whether as a climate innovator, AI founder, health-tech pioneer, or next-gen coder.
• Outputs were instantly generated in curated art styles that matched the tone of TechBBQ:
  • Nordic Minimalism – clean, timeless portraits in Copenhagen-inspired tones.
  • Future Founder – sharp, cinematic look with startup storytelling cues.
  • Tech Hero – bold, poster-style imagery echoing comic book founders.
  • Podcast Persona – casual, creator-style look designed for content sharing.

Each activation carried startup branding + QR → pitch page, so investors and partners could move seamlessly from a smile to a serious conversation.
